There are a total of 3 microphones on the iPhone 11, one of them is located at the back, another located in the front, and another at the bottom. 1. Bottom microphone. The first microphone is located on the bottom left grill and is used for calls. 2. Front microphone. The second microphone is near the proximity sensor, next to your selfie camera.
UPDATE: I have reached out to Rode and we checked that through the Rode Reporter app, the phone is recording through the iPhone Microphone and does not receive from the "headset" microphone. They are sending a replacement SC7 cable to see if this solves it. Their customer service was friendly and helpful, and easy to contact and communicate with.
