No. The Next Karate Kid isn’t important (at least at this point.) The writers of the show said it’s canon in this universe, but it hasn’t factored into the show at all yet. As for the other films, Karate Kid 1 is essential, but you should definitely watch parts 2 and 3 as well. All 3 of the movies Daniel is in factors into the show.
